Our new website is going to be even better than the last. Updates will be made by April 15th, so check back then!

Proud to be part of all things Alaska!

  1. All car shows are coordinated by the events chairperson and/or an events chair committee person. All plans and instructions of event coordinators will be followed by all entry owners and/or drivers.
  2. Bring your classic ride!
  3. Vehicle gas tanks should be essentially empty and gas caps either locked or taped shut while car is on display.
  4. Drip pans should be placed under engine, trany and rear ends to protect showroom floors.
  5. Tire pads should be placed under each tire to protect showroom floors.
  6. Drop cloths shall be used when applying car care products while preparing vehicles for show.
  7. All negative battery cables should be disconnected.
  8. Each vehicle shall have a fire extinguisher.
  9. Use caution when preparing your car and be responsible for cleaning up after yourself.
  10. Pack plenty of snacks and water for hot days.

  1. Avoid Excessive Idling You get zero miles per gallon when idling, and the larger the engine the more fuel wasted. If the line at the fast food emporium is long, park the car and go inside to order. Sitting in line waiting for that accident to get cleared or the drawbridge to re-open, shut of the engine.
  2. Avoid Fast Starts Aggressive driving ( rapid acceleration and braking) wastes gas. It can lower your gas mileage dramatically, by up to 30% or more. ( or up to the equivalent of  90 cents per gallon*)  Smooth driving is also safer.
  3. Observe The Speed Limit Yes, you might feel like you are getting run over, especially on the Interstate, but fast driving lowers fuel economy dramatically.  You can figure roughly that every 5 MPH over 60 MPH costs you an additional $.20 per gallon*.
  4. Keep Your Engine Tuned A engine that is not tuned properly can waste as much as 40% of your gas.  Follow the manufacturers directions in your owners manual and if you hear, feel or smell something "funny", have your engine checked right away. Fuel ratios, spark plug timing and condition can all dramatically affect gas mileage.
